Alumina bubble castables are highly favored as thermal insulation materials for high-temperature kiln equipment. In this work, ultra-lightweight alumina bubble castables were prepared by matrix foaming.Effects of foaming agent on the physical properties,microstructure, and thermal conductivity of the castables were investigated.
